Pots and pans can be some of the most elusive kitchen items to organize. This could be due to a lack of space, and in some cases (like mine), it could just be a lack of creativity and imagination. Fortunately for me, I knew to create space for the pots and pans when my kitchen was being designed. It's a 2 shelf cabinet space that allows me to pack them neatly and leave them out of sight. My solution won't work for everyone for various reasons e.g you found your kitchen as is when you moved, and redesigning it is obviously a costly project. It could be that you are a tenant, therefore, restricted on what you can do with the kitchen fixtures.
The best thing to do is to invest in pot and pan organizers. They are fuss-free because they are free-standing - therefore can be moved around anytime a need arises.
Things to consider when shopping for pot and pan organizers
Knowing upfront what to look for when shopping will help you buy the correct pot and pan organizers.
Fit For use
You want the organizers to be fit for your storage purposes. Consider your current cooking utensils set and any items that you may need to add in the future. Pans are normally organized separately and differently from cooking pots. It is important to keep this in mind when shopping. Some organizers are dual in purpose and can store both.
Space
Durability
Not all pot organizers are created equal. You must go for something durable, as it guarantees longevity as well as safety for your cooking utensils. The last thing you need is your pots and pans (lids included) collapsing into the floor due to a brittle storage rack that you chose.
Is it OK to stack your pots and pans?
Stacking is always the go-to strategy of storing cookware. Other than the risk of pots being stuck, getting scratched, etc - pot stacking is OK as a temporal storage solution.

As you can see this pot and pan organizer is quite the space saver, as it can fit the whole of your set. The dividers are also adjustable, making it easy to store varying sizes of pots and pans.
